Greetings and a warm welcome to YMCA Education Centre!
The YMCA Education Centre (YEC) started in 1913 by running commercial classes such as Shorthand, Book-keeping, Typewriting and Accountancy. It has come a long way since then. Today, the YEC comprises two arms: YMCA Higher Education and YMCA School.
YMCA Higher Education
As a certified Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification Approved Training Organisation – Private Education Institution (ATO-PEI), we have a wide range of accredited courses such as Hospitality and Tourism Management as well as Leadership and People Management. These courses are taught by our team of dedicated trainers who are committed to provide quality education and ensure that our participants develop their fullest potential in learning while acquiring latest industry-relevant skills.
YMCA School
YMCA School offers academic programmes that prepare students in qualifying for local government schools through the passing of the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) test. Beyond the rigours of academics, we also seek to develop the mind, body and spirit as well as nurture our students to become socially responsible individuals of distinction. We do this by ensuring that all students are provided with opportunities to volunteer in a wide range of community service programmes organised by the YMCA of Singapore. Additionally, students participate in enriching outdoor programmes such as adventure training camps and learning journeys.
In this new era, as the local and global economies transform, it is imperative to engage in holistic development and learn new skills so as to better contribute to the companies and communities that we serve. YMCA of Singapore is committed to partner you in this.
I am confident that all who join the YMCA Education Centre will have an enriching and enjoyable experience.
We welcome you to the family!
