Greetings and a warm welcome to YMCA Education Centre
The YMCA Education Centre (YEC) first started in 1913 by running commercial classes such as Shorthand, Book-keeping, Typewriting and Accountancy. It has come a long way since then. Today, the YEC comprises of two components: YMCA Higher Education and YMCA School.
In our fast-paced, ever-changing environment, there is a need to constantly learn and upgrade. Our wide range of courses equip you with cutting-edge skills that are imperative for today’s market.
As a certified WSQ Approval Training Organisation – Private Education Institution (ATO-PEI), we are now further expanding our range and introducing accredited courses such as hospitality and tourism management and leadership and people management. These courses will be taught by a team of dedicated trainers who are committed to providing quality education and ensuring that our participants develop their fullest potential in learning and acquire latest industry relevant skills.
YMCA School offers academic programmes that prepare students in qualifying for local government schools through the passing of the AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students) test. Beyond the rigours of academics, we also seek to develop the mind, body and spirit and nurture our students in becoming socially responsible individuals of distinction.
To work towards achieving this dream, we ensure that all students learn outside the classroom by volunteering in a wide range of community services programmes organised by the YMCA of Singapore. In addition, students participate in many other enriching outdoor curriculum programmes such as adventure training camps or learning journeys.
I am confident that all who join the YMCA Education Centre will have an enriching and enjoyable experience.
We welcome you to the family!
